    Another part of this is many makers keep the not "perfect" knives for self use. I don't carry anything that isn't my best work. I use what I carry as a sales aid. I show it to everyone and have sold many knives this way. Why carry second best? And like many others nothing but my best makes...

    My new tool

    My forge is made from soft fire bricks. It's coated with itc100 and bubble alumina. I use the fan in the link below and started with a 1/8" nozzle. I've reduced that to .110 and need to reduce further because I'm unable to reduce the temperature enough. I turned it down after it reached 2350...

    Sanding Stones???????

    The EDM stones I bought have to be soaked in kerosene or they load up. While I thought they worked pretty well they are a hassle to use. I found less need for them as I got better on the grinder.

    New shop question

    One mistake I made when I built my shop was spraying texture on the walls. It holds a lot of dust and is hard to clean.
