OPauls Knife Picture Thread

Love the liner combo- G10? Are you using any pigment in the epoxy? Looks like a black line between the layers.

Great interplay between the wood grain and pins/lanyard tube and visual flow of your knife. Nice work.
I usted to design and make custom furniture and whatnot. Your use of grain patterns and porpotions in alot of your knives are very similar to what makes a fine custom piece of furniture stand out...................Good eye.

Thank you!

Is that Hansen's newer material with metal shavings? How do you like it? I recently got some of the Brook Trout to try out.

I like it. In fact this material is more dense than some of the other G Carta I have used.
I like it. The Trout pattern I used took a lot of elbow grease and wet sanding to get it right. This went much better.

Thanks. You would never know it’s there. Really no different that some other composites that use metal material. It’s been around awhile and I haven’t heard of any issues.

That turned out really nice! The handle material looks quite organic. I like the material. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for posting

The gcarta stuff is nice. I have a few laying around and I did a filet knife awhile back. They have a few instagram videos on how to best use it - sanding, finishing, etc. I was using some of the higher grit sandpaper that was black and it kept darkening the material.

Same goes for whatever finish you put on, should be as clear as possible. Tru-oil has slight coloration. I believe they recommend a type of wax for their finish but I can't remember the name.
