    contact wheel questions.

Laurence the only thing I found was this and of course Burr King…http://www.contactrubber.com/detail.asp?c=382 I have Burr Kings in my shop so I bought mine from them…..they are spendy pushing $450 each but worth every cent. The greatest thing is the heat reduction in the finer grits. The...

    contact wheel questions.

No one mentioned the Foam Wheels. Let me tell you; they are the bomb. I would recommend anyone that wants to make knives invest in a foam wheel. I bought the 8 & 10 Inch ones and they are better than sliced bread! Only 25 Duro and only use them on 220 - 1K. If you have the chance give one a...

    Disk Grinder question

If you want mirror polished flats a disk grinder is the way to go…..I have 6 in my shop from 3" up to 9" Don't use the big one cept for rough grinding with 60 - 220 grit, I use the smaller ones for doing the flats on everything with the finer grits. We take the flats to 2000 grit with these...

Hi Lee, I won't be there this year….I was a voting member of the DMG for many years but with the economic strain I had to drop out. Yeah, noticed after I made the post last time that you were from Israel, but you'll have a wonderful show and meet many great makers and customers there anyway...
