    G10 peel ply

Yes we carry it. I recommend leaving the top layer of peel ply on while cutting the G10 to shape, but peeling it off before contouring. It can be very hard to peel after being contoured and it likes to leave white strands behind that don't like to go away. Give us a call if you'd like crashradius

    Micarta experimentation

You are correct. G10 is fiberglass and epoxy and micarta is typically canvas, linen, or paper and phenolic resin. They are similar, but different. They are enough differences that its good to be accurate on which is which. Thunter124, I am with you on the itchiness! Before we started...

    best steels for tactical knives

I would try Elmax and M390 by Bohler Uddeholm. They are both quite impressive. M390 has extreme edgeholding. Elmax is very tough. Both are excellent stainless steels. My personal preference is M390 because I don't abuse my knives and want something that will cut for a very long time without...

    Mammoth Ivory Scales?

Most of the tusks found are a minimum of 15,000 years old. The majority of the tusks actually come from the ground, not ice. Ice tusks are quite rare. When tusks are preserved in ice, they typically do not pick up color on the outside. You are correct with the term "fossilized". However, it...

    Mammoth Ivory Scales?

Jim, Finding a pair of scales that large is going to be extremely expensive. When you think about how large the diameter of a tusk would have to be in order to get a pair of scales like that with any color, that should help put it into perspective. If you wanted white ivory from the core in...
