I think it would be an interesting use of handle materials and making the fit and finish work would definitely be challenging.

That sounds like a really cool and challenging idea. Has anyone done it before? Would you approach it like segmented handle scales?

Just finished up a set of steak knives. AEB-L and Golden Trout G-Carta scales.

New addition to the shop. Been saving awhile for this upgrade. Have to wire it up with my existing vfd and motor and then rearrange the shop a bit. I’m also waiting on a new carbide platen. Can’t wait to fire it up and go.

Not looking to discuss pros and cons or get political, just wondering if anyone is seeing prices being affected yet? There are a lot of supplies we use that are imported, steel and abrasives being a couple important ones (some steel comes from Germany and I know Rhynowet comes from Portugal)...

Filet knife with 7” blade. AEB-L steel with some Ivory Juma, G-Carta and G10 liners. That G-Carta takes a looong time wet sanding to get a nice finish. The juma is super easy to work with.
