I've been away for about 12 years and have gotten on a few forums I havent visited and have noticed a dramatic pause, or has it stopped altogether? This forum used to be filled with daily posts, as did others. Sad to see so many people I had the pleasure to interact with have passed on...

interesting thread... I was in a major car accident in '13, I had made knives maybe a whole year before that. After licking my wounds for a couple years, life got in the way of my hobby, I moved, couldnt set up shop and had no desire to do so... Fast forward til now, I have the fire under me...

Just wanted to drop a line and let you guys know I'm still wiggling...Got a lot to catch up on, still knee high in boxes from the current move and swamped with work... Still have to set up some 220 and get my shop together but that will have to wait a couple more weeks... Just need a little...

time does seem to just slip away, I've had a few bumps in the road of life as of the past couple months so getting back in the saddle of knife making is a slow go, I thought I'd have to bow out, but seeing how this may still be good til the middle of July I may have to kick myself in overdrive...

Andrew, I was going to use Ernie, sent him some art he returned a proof a little different.. which is fine but his email got buried and within that time (couple weeks) I had changed my design to something super simple, sent him a link with the font and haven't heard back from him.. so in short...

rotary platen.... I couldn't change the title, I have a separate thread around here somewhere to help bog down the forum:D

Does the kmg rotary platen have a work rest?? I've only seen them free hand... they are really pricey, but I think it would really help my style as convex is right up my alley.. so I'd assume one would use a flat platen, or wheel to profile and bevel their knife.. then use this on the final...
