Scotch bright belts are great for blending scratch patternsno don't use them on blades, but I do a lot of my handles.
Some more stuff.. Working on my recurves.. Oddly enough,i find them easier to grind on my 2" wide wheel vs my 1" wide wheel.

Cool machine.., i have the same one. the round column is'nt that bad, and if cuts are not to deep i can machine anything on it. great for a knifemaker!

I spend 20 minutes hand sanding! i grind to a-30 ( 600 grit) then move to an 800 grit worn cork belt loaded with green rouge. this will almost take the blade to a mirror finish while leaving your bevels crisp between them and the flats. i generally start sanding at 320 grit and have all my grind...
