Finished up a Hawksbill

Here's a knife that I just finished up over the weekend. I started this knife back in December of last year and finally got around to finishing it. The design originated from a custom order and I made two blades at the time, just in case things went south. The first blade worked out just fine and the client was really happy with it. Since I had another blade that was heat treated, I decided I would finish it up. It's not a design that I offer as a standard, but I think it has its own unique charm.

Specs: 3" CPM154 blade, anodized and textured titanium bolsters, anodized and jeweled titanium liners, textured 416 spacer, and dyed and stabilized maple burl scales. The scales really are fantastic! The photos really don't do them justice.

Let me know what you think.

Hawkbills always remind me of something prehistoric and very angry!! :D Love how that one turned out! The stabilized maple burl turned out really well! It compliments the knife well!

Looks well executed and nice fit and finish. Not a blade shape I have made myself but looks like it would be a rope cutting machine.

where can get some handles like that.
And do they need finishing or coat to seal it or anything?
The scales came from a block of dyed and stabilized maple burl that I believe I purchased from USA Knifemakers a couple years ago. I finished them with about 6 coats of Tru-Oil followed by wax and a buff.
