Pocket Cleaver

I have been wanting to make one of these little guys for awhile and finally got to it.
I literally just finished it and took a few pics I might have a little clean up left to do but wanted to bring it to the hammer in tomorrow.

1084 with hamon clay quenched

Carbon fiber pins and tube that almost disappear in the handle.

Handle I think is Ironwood burl but I need some help John Doyle I bought some wood from him the other day and the nice guy he is threw in a few extras and this was one.

Still have to sharpen it and make a sheath but thought I would share.

Think I will call this model the "Sappin Turtle" just reminds me a turtle stick in its neck out..lol

Looking good!
Also, a more than just a little bit jealous about not getting to make the trip to the hammer in!

That's a nice little cleaver Justin. I can't wait to hold it in my hands and get a real feel for it tomorrow. Looking forward to meeting you.

Love it Justin! Great job. And, ya'll quit talking about the hammer-in, you're killing me! Maybe I'll see some of you at the KC show. Have a safe trip.
