Lava Flow Kirinite Handle on one of my Rhino Chop Knives.

Here are some pics of a handle I put on one of my chops that is the 3/8" Lava Flow Kirinite. I got the first slab of the thicker stuff and wanted to show what a interesting handle this stuff makes.

I'm a bit rusty on how to get my Ipad pics through photobucket to KD's so it may take a few edits & trys.
The difference of this material from inside to outside is astounding!

Hi BossDog.
I hand sanded to 1000 Grit and then buffed with Fabuluster on a soft cotton buff.

This Lava Flow Kirinite finishes like no other material I've ever used or seen before!
It has all kinds of stuff going on just under the finish and deeper, It goes from a flat black to almost metallic grey when you take it out in the direct sunlght.

I am waiting until you get the thicker blue and red colored Kirinite before I get more.

Wild looking design, lines just flow all over the place. I'm waiting for some blocks of this great stuff to make a really big hidden tang kmfe for myself. Kirinite is addictive to work with.

That's the angle I am using for the "Poor folk" around here that love to cook on weekends.
Its NSF rated which means it can be used in commercial kitchens as well.
