Hey...I just had a thought...
if I profiled the blade but paid someone (like one of you Real Makers) do the flat grind and heat-treat for me,
then finished all other aspects of the build would that be considered within the parameters of the contest,
provided every step of the process was documented?
I would love to collaborate with someone on this, and have a knife of this steel on my hip.
(with the name of the person working on it with me stamped on it as well!)
I'll soon to be living on Vancouver Island,i.e. a salt-air environment, and would put this knife through it's paces very,VERY thoroughly...
If allowable,then I'm IN!!I want to try this Elmax stuff!
(and no,it would never be sold: this is something that would stay in my Family!)
