Black crud on platen.

I have been getting hard black crud on my platen. It happens with both steel and glass platen. It scrubs off with solvent. I know it is coming from the belts. Not all of the belts do it. Anyone know the cause of how to prevent it?
 
Thanks for the links. It is happening mostly with the Blaze belts.Time to try some others.
