I like # 2 the best, out of the second batch!! It would be great to have a badge to wear to my local knife shows!!

Badges on a lanyard would be good too, in fact, probably better.

I think the badges in the lanyard is perfect, as last year the badges for paid admission and table holders to the show were done the same way, all we have to do is print it up, and slide it into the passes provided by the show. Take out the show pass and turn it around to the back, put KD one in the front, as you only need the pass to get in, you can show that there, and PROUDLY display KNIFE DOGS on the front!!! And even better, anyone with a printer can pick the ones they want to use and customize them the way they want, keeping a general design, ie.burnt orange and brown, bull dog etc. Can't get cheaper than that!!! We would probably need to know the size of the lanyard tags they'll be using next year in advance. And those folks that attended last year who still have their lanyards from last year can use those in addition to their passes. Just my 2 cents worth of CHEAPNESS!!! Thats the way my creative juices flow!!!SIZE]

I can see these in carved leather, too sweet!!! Rex

I had been reading all of the comments and was planning to reply and suggest that we choose the one we want, print it on our personal computer and insert it into the ID that Blade furnishes. Looks like McLellan beat me to it. Or maybe I'll just insert a picture of my Shop Dog, Moe with a Knife Dogs caption.

I like the USN style badges, A laminated badge with a hole to hook on a lanyard. Can't we find the stock to print these on and a budget laminater? I'll look around to see what I can find. I know one of the guys that makes them for USN, maybe I can talk to him.

My trigger finger is hovering on the checkout button on the needed supplies, I've found a laminator for $60 and 400 badge inserts and 100 laminating pouches (for a little more), I just need the go ahead from boss. The machine and 1st batch of supplies are on me but if we go this route the badges will probably cost $1- $2 to cover ink cartridges, supplies and shipping. I have the avery software on my computer so I'm going to test print some of the logos that have been posted until I hear from BossDogg.

I also like the USN badge...I was thinking they are the hard plastic ID badges with ink jet printing but I've never had/held a USN badge but I've seen enough of them from a (blurry) distance at Blade.

My 2 cents on this is that I threw those up quickly for ideas. They could use a little cleaning up and the lettering needs work. If BossDog says this is the route to take I can do what I can to make them look better and maybe give people a few more choices.

Let me know what needs to be done by me if anything.

In a past career, I was a security specialist/account manager contracted to an I.T. company. One of my duties was managing/auditing/editing thier access control database and making I.D. badges for thier 5000+ employees. When making the access control I.D. badges, we used a laminate sheet that we would print the company logo along with the employee's name and photo on. If we could acquire the laminate sheets to print these on, we could adhere them to plain card stock. The laminate is a self-adhering fairly heavy plastic sheet.

Les, I will PM you the details on the laminate stock so that you may determine if this is something you might be able to use.
