    Thanks Anthony, I agree that the angles didn't work in practice and would look better if I kept a simple radius. This was made from 1/8" 1084 and the scales are teak...this is the first knife to come off my kmg grinder. Ground to 100 grit then finished with a scotch bright belt.

    What's up dogs? Kidding, but seriously, I just got a kmg 3speed grinder with flat platen, 10" wheel and 5/8" small wheel...my question to you is what grits/belts would you deem without a doubt necessary for making blades out of 1/8"-3/16" 1084? thanks in advance, bcb

    thanks for your input mike, i appreciate it...no markings on this one, just says "made in U.S.A." on the brass fitting...i think ill slap some chromium on the rough side and see how that works...thanks again BB
