Not sure I understand. For something of this size and desired use I would think you want the weight slightly forward? I also plan on probably using 3/8 micarta for my handles.

Yeah that's the type of handle I want to do. I just can seem to get the hang of it. I might elect to keep it a bit simpler this go around and do something like this type of handle instead.

For that type of use would you keep the grind at 3/4 or would a ffg be strong enough?

I ground out this knife last week because I liked the style handle I had seen on other peoples work. Something about the one I made just doesn't look right to me. Anyone have some advice on what might be wrong or is it just my eyes.

Well I'm not equipped to do my own heat treat so I'll try hand straightening it before i send it out

I have a piece of 3/32 1095 that is warped. What would be the best way to deal with this? Is it for each knife or try to straighten the bar? I also have a piece of 1/8 1084 with a slight bend in it too. Pic of the 1095: Happy Holiday John
