Hey guys,
Long long long time no see...but I wanna be more active again...
Anyways since a buddy of mine said to me yesterday "Stop nagging ,go back to work..." I did
So first of all I a little stress relief:
Then I started finishing up the VULTURE:
5mm thick O1, etched
OAL 16,4cm/ 6.45"...
anyone ever tried the modified Palm Sander with rougher grits..lets say from a 120 beltgrinder finish to maybe a 240 or 320 with the palmsander..if so..did it work well and didn´t take as long as done by hand?
thx
Al

True...
But over here most ppl who go to a junk sale are cheap
I know because I´m one of them *haha*
No seriously.
People expect like new stuff for a few cent to a few $
That´s why time is money and the more time I put into each knife the more I have to ask and the less I´ll sell...
THX,
I´m a little lazy LOL
And I won´t be able to sell those knives for a good price sine it´s a junk sale
So I don´t want to put too much time and effort into them
So no handsanding
Dremel wheels are too small.
I have tried...
Would need something bigger ..aren´t there some wheels out...
Hey guys,
there is a junk market coming up and I need to pimp a few knives
they are lightly scratched
you know from kydex sheaths, light use and so on...
SO what´s the best way to get rid of the scratches without using the grinder or hand sanding???
Any abrasive wheels I could buy which...
thanks... could anyone please tell me the measurement of the space between the rubber and the bearings?
AND if the bearings of KMG style small wheels can be removed ?
THANKS a LOT
AL
well full speed is about 1920/min
the wheels are not that expensive that´s right Tracy BUT what makes all the knifemaking supplies so expensive lately is the lack of shipping options to Europe...
only Priority Mail International is availabale anymore..what happend to good old AirMail ???
It...
didn´t know about Tru Grit and have totally forgotten about Sheffield..THANKS!!!
Well change of plans..since there are Bader and Wilton contact wheels in which the bearings and shaft are pressed right into the wheel and no bearings on the outside like on the KMG´s attachment, I´ll probably get...
Hi guys,
I wanna make me a slack belt attachment
Don´t have an inverter so my grinder / 3HP / runs on full speed
I wanted to use the smallest wheels I could get... probably a 1" and a 1.5" (wanna use them for making fingergrooves as well)
but that means the bearings will be pretty small too...
Thanks
But not perfect because I can´t just take the point out and replace it
Hammer it in LOL
BUT I can´t get spare points here anyway so no big deal *haha*
Had to take a scriber apart to get the point out
At least it didn´t cost me much.
Arrow..don´t know broke it a while ago LOL...
hey dogs
made a knife scribe
more or less like the one from Tracey
steel bar
carbide point
screw
crossbow arrow
couple drills and a small tap
