Got a package at the door, very nice stuff well worth the extra money. Top is yellowheart, some purple heart, cocobolo, jobillo, leopard wood ,black palm, red palm, river gum eucoliptus, some zebra wood and bocote. Ill show it once its on a knife unless I decide to sell a few sticks after I stabilize. Kellyw

Watch how you cut the leopard wood for scales. My attention slipped and I cut some scales so that the fancy grain didn't show. To paraphrase, look twice; cut once. Oh, well, it got me to slow down and pay attention so I guess it wasn't a total loss. A mistake that you don't learn from is a mistake wasted.

Very nice.....Those will make some real nice handles. Which one of those is your favorite? I mean if you had to pick one? :D

The jobillio is really very nice and if its ahead of the bocote its only because I like the color of bocote. Jobillio is really heavy hard wood from guatameula and is pretty hard to come by it has a very nice solid wavy grain. The goldenyellows and browns with shades of red is maybee the nicest, bocote is second and leopard wood third Ive never used yellow heat but it has the curl in it like KOA and might be really sweet once I stabilize it. In the picture the jobillo is the second stick down from the yellowheart. kellyw
