The shape allows the knife to cut meat and vegetables muchthicker than a conventional paring knife. The blade and handleangles allow push cuts over a cutting board without your knucklesbanging the board. The knives are 8 ½ inches long. The upper knife has a 3 3/4 inchby 1 1/2 inch blade that is 1/16 inches thick. [/FONT][FONT=Graphik Web, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Thehandle is made from [/FONT][FONT=Graphik Web, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]asingle piece of black walnut. The knife weighs 1.9 ounces. The lower knife has a 4 inch by 1 1/8 inch blade that is 3/32 thick. The knife weighs 2.0 ounces. The handle is book matched ambrosia maple. Both handles are finished with polyurethane. Both handles are fairly long and fit easily in large or small hands. The light weight allows them to be used for long periods of time without hand fatigue.
