Two more sheaths

My first puukko finally got a sheath. Soon all my summer 2018 puukkos will have their sheaths. I wrapped another puukko today and the leather is drying. My Nordic style knife now has a sheath. Both are bison leather from Springfield Leather Co.

LOVE the bottom knife and sheath! the color and texture...amazing(sheath) knife is beautiful also.

How does the bison work in comparison to veg tanned cowhide?

Thank you everyone for viewing and commenting. I have not made any cowhide sheaths, so I cannot answer the question on comparison to bison leather. I have made only three sheaths. My fourth sheath, for a 95mm puukko will be stitched today, hopefully. I plan to make sheaths for my puukko projects from summer 2018 and veg tanned cowhide will be used for some of them. I've got six square feet to use and it is beautiful. Learning to properly dye will be interesting.
