TW90 Set Up

Just finished setting up the TW90 and rearranging the shop. Still stuff to do but I'm going to take my time, I have a tendency to burn myself out rather quickly. Can't wait to try it out! Profiling the Bowie might be the first blade steel on this one. Put the KMG on the market this morning!

Nope...haven't added glass yet either...lol. I use the surface grinder the most...prepping blades after HT. (the small serrated wheel)

If you think about the square edge of the tool rest against the flat surface of the platten - if you want to adjust your tool rest down (say 45*) the bottom edge of the tool rest is going to come into contact with the platten. But if the bottom edge of the tool rest is beveled - when you rotate it down you have a nice close intersection of the tool rest and the flat patten surface. Or say with a KMG - rotate the platten back away from you to create the angle.
