There's a new grinder in town, and its name is C.R.G.

I just have to give my review of a new upcoming grinder quaintly named "The C.R.G." C.R.G. stands for Columbia River Grinder. This is a attachable platform with optional endless accessories. It just never ends ! I have used several grinders over my years of knifemaking, and I must say I wish I had this years ago ! At first look it doesn't look like much, but as they say, good things come in small packages. The C.R.G. is built on the basis of simplicity witch I like. Mine has a 1hp. motor, and a V.F.D. witch I do like. The C.R.G. has many available attachments witch depending on what your needs are can make heavy work easy. It comes with a flat platen for flat grinding and an adjustable tool rest. The flat platen has a socket for attaching the tool rest, and also an optional dust collecting thought for when working on handle material. It has a side socket for a hose from a shop vacuum that can attach. I think this little feature is just the coolest thing ! Also optional accessories are a 8" hollow grinding wheel. Or if requested a larger wheel can be adapted. Small wheel attachment for those tight radius jobs, and since the machine is based on a attachable platform, just about any oddball off the wall attachment you can think of that will fit.

All in all the quality of the C.R.G. is great. It's stout and firm. Welds are clean and solid, and a nice paint job to finish it off. Not trying to be a salesman on this, but I just had to give my review on this.

Here is the product sheet on it. It gives more of the details on voltage, and such.

Very nice. I'm sure you'll enjoy using that. I would love to have that tool tree for my extras. That is a great design for saving space. Might have to give Mr. Vernon a call....

Have fun! congrats!

IMHO, it looks awful similar to offerings of wilmont grinders. in any case, i see you only have one tooling arm attachment point. again, JMHO

^^ to be fair the wilmont grinder is just a polar bear forge grinder design with a little more time spent on fit and finish correct?
