The edge of my feather.

I built this knife last year, for myself. I have been hesitant to put an edge on it; for this is the best of all the feather pattern blades I've made over the years and the thought of profiling an edge on it was daunting. On Friday I decided it was time to give the knife it's edge. The edge was set @ 28 degrees inclusive using 120--220--400 Gator belts on a 2 X 72 belt machine using a Bubble Jig and finished using an ERU sharpener set @ 28 degrees using 350 and then 600 grit tungsten carbide inserts. This is a hot blued blade that was heavily etched. This blade was taken to a zero edge after tempering and before the hot bluing. Look closely and you will see a small nick in the edge, just right of center. This was left over from when I sanded the blade to a zero edge. It will vanish on the next sharpening. I thought the pictures worth sharing.
