A friend of mine gave me some Tacula wood. It was shipped here 12 years ago from central Africa. I sanded some out and it has a beautiful grain with a color ranging from a blonde to a light red. Has anybody ever worked with this stuff before?

Kisésé (Congo)

I've used it on jewelry boxes and picture frames. Nice stuff, open grained, so seal the pores. Hard and heavy stuff. Usually orange-ish but turns a dark red as it ages.
