Straw hat and Knife

I had started this one a while back and just now finishing it. There are some glaring issues that jump right out that shouldn't be - hardly no ricasso, plunge line not real clean, etc. But there are some details I really like - Ty's curly redwood scales, the pin placement and overall shape. This one is going to my sister, she'll never notice .

I would dissagree with you on the lack of a ricasso OP. On this one that configuration seems to work to keep cutting edge length for the shortish blade length. To my eye it is probaby only about a 1/16 short of being visually "right".

Edit to correct that to 1/16 as it was meant to be
