Stitching Sheathes

This is by far my nightmare, sheath making.

My eyesight is not good so making holes for the thread is arduous, a strain on eyes..

Can I swear????????

I have just finished a smallish rectangular sheath and I am ashamed of it,

I have not made many but this is the worst, I feel down,, I wanted to give it to mmy son on this Saturday, I do have time to make a another but will fail because of my poor sight

I cannot see anything up close. I have found that a magnifying visor like jewelers wear is a godsend. Also, several desk lamps which allow me to focus the light on the work and not at my eyes is the biggest help of all.

Brilliant idea JW.

I have the twin eyepiece magnifying headpiece but without light which does not help.
A good light should help me, I will look into it tomorrow.

Many thanks.

Honestly the light on the visor isn’t that great. Having a desk lamp on each side of the workpiece, aimed below the eyes, and you’re Bob’s nephew.
