Here are four oyster knives I finished up today. L to R: Honduran Rosewood burl, same, Australian burl, Honduran Rosewood burl and Gaboon Ebony. Brass bolsters with copper pins, shop-made mosaic and brass pins as seen, stainless thong hole liners. 440C stainless all, about Rc55 so as to be tough as well as hard. They'll go out with leather blade covers. :)

Those are nice. I was going to make some last year but didn't. I'm definitely going to this year. I've had a few requests. What steel did you use.
 
Hi, opaul; thanks. yes, make some, they are very popular with people. 440C is the steel I use now. Mike :)
