Question about burl wood

I came across some beautiful rare burl wood that is fresh cut green wood that has been cut into small blocks and waxed. My question is how likely is it to crack or split? thanks in advance for your help...

If it is properly waxed, very little chance of cracking. Do not use the wood for a year or two! If possible find the water content, the higher it is the longer you should wait. What wood are we talking about? I have a detailed wood book here that may help you more!

If it green? Very likey to split!
Let it sit in a card board box with the top loosely closed for 1" per year of the thickness of the blocks.
