KNIFE MAKER
welp...finally got a finished prototype sheath finish. made from old Springfield Leather tooling leather....I will use Wickett&Craig in production. Gave it to a hunter (for testing) that bought one of my little skinners (sharpfinger design).
I am making this a scabbard design as that up-swept curve on the blade is tricky to dock. I wet formed the belt loop for it and it works real nice.
This was my final straw on any type of custom blade work. Future: You see it you can buy it lol. no more "could you...?" with health/energy considerations custom is now OUT...lol.
My plan is to not use rivets but stitch upper and lower portion. Since this is a proto and I can no longer stitch I used chicago screws at the top. The truss-hed screws at the bottom will remain but I still want to stitch there for looks and durability.
This is the best docking knife I have ever felt.
