This knife HAD sunset amber smooth bone scales untill I cracked one during the final assembly before piening. So I,in my frustration, decided to put on something that even I can't break.
I'm very happy with the way this linen micarta turned out and I'm sure someone will just have to take it home with them from The Blade Show.

Look's nice Calvin, I like it!!. Sorry to hear about bone scales, but the micarta turn out good.

I appreciate all your compliments but the declaration of perfection from Don realy makes me feel good.
Thank you Don,Jim and Peter.

Beautiful lines on that knife Calvin. I've made a couple of slippies. Love the process. What do you use for final assembly? I've always had a hard time placing that final pin. Do you use a jig to tension the spring?

Thanks for the compliment.
I use a hammer for final assembly. No I don't use a jig to tension the spring,I eyeball it.

How do you get the holes to line up well enough to get the final pin started? That has always been a booger for me. Thanks Calvin!

I'll have to take some in progress photos or a video of how I assemble my slipjoints. One of these days when I get snowed in.
