KNIFE MAKER
Hey folks, I've got an "easy" question. I'm sending a blade to peters for HT. It's a butcher knife made from D2. What do I put for desired hardness? Does it matter? I'm thinking 60 or 61... is that too hard to sharpen? I know that we constantly play the give and take game, and that my question has the potential to open a can of worms... I just need a number to put in the blank lol. Thanks!
 
Have just had this discussion on another forum Kevin and the recomended hardness was 59-60 for edge holding and ease of sharpening for general use knives.
