Pappy's Jack Knife

Since this is my design and I'm affectionately known as Pappy to my grandchildren I named it Pappy's Jack Knife.
This knife is 3 3/16" long closed.

BLADE:Spear point,2 1/4" X .075", flat ground to .010" before sharpening,60.3 Rc,Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel,hand rubbed to 400 grit.

FRAME: Integral bolster/liner/caps,416 stainless hand rubbed to 1000 grit,jeweled inside.

PIVOT: 3/16" bronze bushing,bronze anti scratch washers.

SCALES: A beautifuly matched pair of pearl,highly polished.
This knife can be seen at my table at the A. G. Russell Knife Event.

Just lovely, I like the hand-rubbed finish on the steel.... a bit fancy for my own pappy though, he preferred jigged bone.... :)

The photographs do not show this knife as I really is. In trying to capture the true look of the pearl,and I didn't really do that,the look of the blade and frame suffered.
I will have it professionally photographed at the A.G. Russell show and then post the photos here for thse of you that can't come to the show.
 
Super lovely, Calvin !!! I just put a Barrlow into the mail . The shape was something like that but not as refined. Nor was it near as pretty with only front bolsters and blackwood scales. You are a master of all folder styles !!! I love it Calvin !!! Frank
