Decided to join after a customer of mine showed me the storefront for G10 scales. I coated his blade (below) and was interested in him making one for me and then decided I would like to do it myself so here I am looking to learn.
I'm going to go with a pre-forged blank and use G10 liners with the Multicam G10 slabs for my first attempt. That means I should only have the handles to mess up I'm hoping.
The blank is from a local guy and is the WSK model which is a nice profile for a tough wilderness knife IMO.
What I need to learn is how to assemble the handle, liners, any mosaic pics, and how to grind without specialty tools. I'm a whiz with a Dremel, files and alum-ox tape so how hard can it be right? LOL j/k
