This is about my 7th inlay and I dye the whole thing green . I really like it tell me what you all think. It is 9 oz with a 4 oz cover ,a little heavy but better than to light.

Like Ernie says alot depends on the knife being sheathed.Your coming along well, you need to try to get your "windows" a little more even, with the edge and each other. If you are not using one, try using a divider or compass to mark your lines from the edge, and then for setting your stitchline for the windows. It will help alot.Keep at it brother.Dave:)

see even I have done one with green :D

Same here, I love green. :) But I can see where there is a little trouble, the leather doesn't seem to want to take the dye very well. That is where you really want to test the dye on small areas first. I learned the hard way, test first, then promise results. It can cost you sales.

Heres some green projects, all from natural Emu leg hides. The leather took the dye incredibly well.

and a standard leather green sheath

I've done quite a few green sheaths, and cant find any more than this, a little frustrating. ;)

I agree with everything Dave said, especially the stitching. A lot of the art of the sheath is the whole package and the stitch is a huge part of that. Well thought out stitching can make or break a good design.

Nice. I've always been partial to Diamondback or Timber Rattler. I won't kill them for the skins, but an occasional fresh roadkill is a good find.
