New sheath maker

My grand son an Oklahoma City policeman started doing some leather work as a relief. I liked one of his scrolls and told him I would give him a body and let him do HIS magic. Looks good to me!

Wish I had a relative doing that caliber leatherwork. I just recently bought basic leatherworking tools and some leather from Tandy because I can't find anything online at the quality and price point that I want. Plus, I tend to make short skinners with chunky handles, so I need fairly short sheaths with wide mouths. Hard to find those. Thanks for sharing.

That's really cool! I'm still working on just getting my basketweaves to line up... don't think I have the artistry or patience in me to make something like that.
