New Demascus save??

So my friend and I did a new Demascus billet. 1080 and 15n20. We were planning on making a big Bowie with it. My buddy forged the shape in and while I was flat grinding it, right smack in the middle I found a huge inclusion. We decided to cut the billet in half. He gave me the front piece that was shaped. I cut it up to make a hidden tang, reground the profile then did a hollow grind on it. Think I may have saved the blank. Long way to go. But tell me what ya think.IMG_20180618_3554.jpgIMG_20180618_5074.jpgIMG_20180618_0215.jpg
Middle pic is the void still in the tang. Shouldn't hurt anything as I plan on cutting some off, after heat treat and final grind.

It survived heat treat no bends! Gonna be a cutter! Relatively thin because it was suppose to be a large Bowie. Found a large void in blank cut it in half and this is what I have been working on. Need to make a brass guard, not good at those! Walnut handle and either a copper pin or a copper corby out the end? Still deciding.
