Built by Owen Vernon of Pasco WA. This is the Cadillac of Knifemakers vices. I received it yesterday, and just mounted it today.
Im excited to have it up and ready to use. Its a beauty ! He did a wonderful job. Just thought i'd share
Looks like very good attention to detail. I like the idea of being able to angle the held blade in any direction that I want. But this looks very nice.
Where can this be bought and how much is this vise?
OK so the details are: The base is 4"x6" with the 2 round tubes at 5" the rectangular tube is 8.75 and the cut for the cross knife jaw is 3" deep by 3/8" 1/2 bolts with in Davids case RR spikes cut off for the Tees. Could be 1/2" or 5/8" or even bent bolts as in my other design with the PanaVise base In this pic.
It's a easily customized design. I'm also looking at making a simple hinged base to tip straight back and put the blade vertical and currently designing a swivel base that could be incorporated if someone didn't want the PanaVise base option.
