My first knife

I am new to this forum but I have been making knives for almost a year now. Since I will not have time to work on any knives because I just moved into my new house a couple days ago I figured I would show some of my past work and what better place to start than my first knife. Before I made this knife I did put a handle on a bought blade.

This knife is a my version of a Scandi. The blade is O-1 and the handle is red linen micarta and dymondwood with brass. Blade is approx. 3.0" and handle is just under 4". This knife was actually a kith knife for another forum. That kith is what actually pushed me to actually start making my first blade. I was only planning on doing a few more handles first so I actually bought a few blades. Those blades are still sitting at the bottom of one of my knife supply boxes..... with no handles. Who knows. when my 4 year old son is old enough to try the hobby maby it can be his first step to addiction.

Well here it is. Let me know what you guys think. Oh ya. don't mind the eraser and stick holding up the knife.

Gee that looks familiar. For a first knife you don't often see bevels as clean this one has. The fit and finish is great aswell

Thanks Brad. I figured you would recognize this one. Lol

Thanks Eric. Is it very shiny but there were some imperfections the the pics don't show. I learned a lot from this one.
