Mini Skinner Finished

Kevin Zito

KNIFE MAKER
Hi all! I just finished this one with the sheath. I think I’ve shown the knife before but I don’t think with the sheath. The blade is NitroV, the handle is green maple burl (I think) I got it from geneK. This was another oddly shaped piece of steel that I resurrected. I also practiced some file work on it, but that was months ago. The handle is small but it surprisingly feels good in hand. The OAL is roughly 6.5 in and the handle is about 3 in. I think it would good for small game or even as an EDC. Let me know what y’all think... Bash it!B0E97400-D99E-420C-BD8C-2FA2A4848D66.jpegD327573D-8295-4DF6-99EF-DAA87CCA4E44.jpeg

That's a handy looking blade there, Kevin. I've enjoyed watching your progress as a maker. I wish I could improve that fast.

Thanks guys! It feels really good to know that my hard work is paying off. This has become an obsession. I will say again though that this website gets 99% of the credit.

Kevin, you are a natural at this!! Every time I see one of your knives I see improvement!! I don't do a lot file work cause like I said it is a PITA, time consuming and to get good at it takes practice at it!! Your getting better all the time!

Excellent thing you did was to have that lanyard through the thong hole which will help extend the feel of the handle.
I have to be honest and say that I didn’t mean to do that, but it makes a ton of sense!

Thanks, CC. You all are 100% the reason why I’m improving... I’m telling ya. I’ve never come across a more supportive and talented and generous group of people in my life. Knifemakers are special people.
