Mahogany "Zuava" (Traditional Tuscan Folder)

This style is called Zuava. It's the tradidtional slip-joint from a town in Tuscany called Scaperia where knives have been made since the middle ages.

This one is African Mahogany. The finish is hand rubbed teak oil and took about a month to do. This handle is very "shimmery" :) and the pictures don't do it justice. In the sun it looks similar to cat's eye stone.
The blade is O1
The spring is 1095
The bolsters and pins are stainless steel except the small pins for the scales, which are nickel silver.
File work on the spring continues onto the blade.
There is no half stop and the blade is flush in both positions.
The action is very smooth and the blade is "snappy"
