Brass tubing and polymer clay, the clay is assembled in segments and is about 1.5" in diameter to start with, from there it is rolled and reduced to 1/4" cane, then pressed into the tubes and baked into a hard plastic. She makes everything from this stuff so when I suggested custom pins she was more than willing to make them. The polymer can be made into any pattern or design.
