Is this to thin?

I made one for my neighbor one that thin in M390 and warned him that it was for cutting, ZERO prying. He has used it for a couple of years now and loves it. Says its the best knife he's ever owned which makes me smile. So yeah, like everybody else said, just make sure the owner understands its limits and it'll be fine and he'll appreciate how it cuts with almost no effort.

Edited to add that I find it hard to grind a Sharpfinger without getting the tip thin so now I don't even worry about it. I just grind em thin and explain the limitations.

Thank you guys for the info and re assurance. I talked to the customer today and let him know it is going to be one heck of a slicer but not a pryer or bone splitte.

Darrin I agree this blade profile is hard to grind.

Tip from the useless grinder who loves fine tips... leave a 1/4” wide tip at the tip, above the spine and a teeny bit longer finishthe bevels then shape the tip... very slowly and cool grinding
