Seasons Greetings. My name is Steve Janik from Plainfield Illinois (about 40 miles SW of Chicago). I am relatively new to Knife making but have been using and gathering and collecting and trading for over 40 years. I'm 52 now. I made 31 knives in 2009 and have sold all but the two which are currently listed in the for sale forum here. This is a great site and the amount of knowledge and insight in such a new venture is staggering. Kudos to Tracy and the gang for their effort and dedication here. My real job is in the woodworking industry and am always available for wood related and finish questions and help.
