One side you can barely make the welds out the other....phantom of the opera. I think etching will dull the ugly but I wanted to post before I etch. Its solid there just ugly. Stupid San-Mai...but I am hooked.

Yea, before the etch you can't really see the welds - just like Damascus, before etch looks just like mono-metal. I've got a billet cooling now, next step to do some grinding to see what it looks like.
