How to finish?

What product do I need for the finish on the sheath. The only sheath I made the dye was a all in one. But I am trying to start making my own sheaths instead of having to rely on others and I have purchased materials but am not sure the finishing material. I have the Tandy oil dyes is that it? from what I understand I need to put a top coat on after dye is this correct and what do I use?

There are a number of top coats to use.I would recommend Leather Sheen or Tan-kote.Dave

Any of the top coats will work. Depends on the look I want but I use Bag-Kote most of the time. I like the soft look you get with it.

My most used coating is Leather Balm with Atom Wax by Fiebings. To me, wax is the easiest to take care of by the end user.

I've used tan kote and really like the mellow finish as well.
