How Many Times Have You Said It?

Yea, that's got to be one of the funniest thing's I've ever read.
He forgot to include a few things I've noticed about that place every time I go in there,
1st...as soon as I open the door I'm overcome with the pungent smell of Chinese card board and rubber.
2nd...every isle I go down it seems like there's some guy in his 90s pushing an empty cart just gazing with what seems like no other better place to be with his poor frail wife in tow.
then I no sooner turn to go down another isle and there's another old fella with an empty cart with his poor wife in tow.

I'll tell you...if you ever see me around 30 years from now perusing the isles of a Harbor Freight with an empty cart dragging my wife behind me...…….wait till I get outside and just finish me off. you'll be doing both of us a favor.

edit: occasionally I'll see one of those free flashlight's in their carts.

It’s payback for 60 years of clothes shopping!

"One day we may find out the Chinese have been intentionally fouling the sperm of American males with something sinister in those outgases, making our offsprings' heads get all misshapen like that Forever Alone guy from the Internet. It wouldn't matter. That smell of plastics laden with phthalic acid — which chemists use as "plasticizers," softening agents added to make plastic tools more flexible and durable — is like bath salts to Harbor Freight toolheads. "

Bahahahahahaha!!!!

I have bought things there that do work reasonably well, like an air brush and plastic wire ties, others were like that guy wrote...
sheer disaster. I did buy a sawzall for $19.99 and after getting a chainsaw stuck in a tree, I toted a generator into the woods and finished cutting down a 120' 18" round pine tree with it, it smoked and quit but miraculously came back to life the next day, 5 years later I still use that saw to quarter up deer.

I've had or have several Harbor Freight tools. The 4 x 36 belt grinder I bought almost ten years ago is still going strong. However the drill press I had from them didn't last very long at all. It's a bit of a crap shoot.

I'll admit I was pretty hard on mine. But the run out from the very beginning was terrible. When it finally died (or I killed it, take your pick) I stepped up to a Grizzly G7943, their bench top 12-speed. What a huge difference. But also a lot more money.

I'm inclined to believe the motto "you get what you pay for" but not everyone, including me at the time, can afford the best equipment. And sometimes you run into little jewels for very little money.

I think if I had treated my HF drill a little more gently I'd still have it. As it is, I gave it to a friend and he got it working.

Aaand...don't tell my wife, but I was looking for any excuse for a better drill press. :)
