I have been reading here on and off for quite some time. Lately I decided I would sell some common top shelf front opening knives.
I have a custom harkins being stored in a clp bath. South Fl. Is not a place you take metal outside the air conditioning unless your prepared to go above and beyond things needed to battle humidity. A constant ,dehumidified 72* is the bottom lineI take steps way beyond what is needed to keep my knives looking great and operating great so my son can show them to his son some rainy day 30 years from now. My favorite side openers are pro tech and benchmade. Dalton is right up there also. I have many microtechs otf's and the other brands. My sandshark group is awesome. These really are super strong ,specialty knives. The piranha Excalibur is actually constructed very similar to a sand shark. The excel is a knife I would use in any situation if needed. Strong enough to pry , saw or wedge the blade way beyond what you might think. Sand shark remains the king though. Make no mistake about that. I carry a microtech combat troodon daily. It never let me down. Breaking car glass and cutting seat belts is easy. I would not suggest everyone / anyone carry these large otf's unless you want them confiscated .
It's nice to be here. Please excuse the long intro. That's what you do here wright? Keep all that good info coming guys.
