Handle material - K&G

It is always a good day to open a box from K&G. Here is some new wood blocks that I had stabilized. I was almost out of handle material when I sent this out a couple of weeks ago. I am now restocked and ready to make a few knives.

K&G always takes good care of me. It comes back looking a little rough but it will all sand up nicely. Walnut, oak, cedar, pine, cottonwood and hackberry.

I had a few dyed this time around. I am getting excited to clean it up and take a really good look.

Looks like quite a bit of handle material. You will be busy for a while.

I cleaned up a few pieces last night. I am always surprised by how much weight is added during the stabilization process.

I think some of these will turn out quite nicely for a knife handle.

Got the dyed ones cleaned up. The bottom ones are cottonwood and the top is hackberry. I think!
