Handle Broaches with simple tools WIP

Josh,
Thanks to this thread, I decided to try my hand at making some. They are not as nice as yours, yet, but they should do the job.
I contacted John Perry and he was nice enough to answer. He charges $100 per broach, and their gorgeous. I can't spend that much right now.
While speaking to George(Tactically Sharp) yesterday, as I was tempering the ones I made, I thought of another way of cutting the teath that would allow me to cut them better.
They are in vinegar now.
Thank again,
Fred

Very cool Fred ! You'll love these compared to other methods. Throw up a pic or two here if you get a chance.

Take care,

Here is a quick cell phone photo.

Hope it worked.
It did work. 2 are 3/16th by 1/4 and 2 are 1/4 by !/4". They are still 9" long without handles.

Thanks, George.
They work, but I made the teeth shallower than Josh and more per inch so that they would not be as aggressive as his. I will make at least a couple that duplicate his. Broach making is fun.
I forgot to mention that they are made from O1.

Fred,

Those are some beauties !

FWIW I prefer the shallower smaller teeth like you've made. An extra minute or two with these type but far more control over how much material you're removing.

Josh,
I made them that way because of your comments in the tutorial.
I have put epoxied two of them in file handles I bought.
The next two will probably have the same fate.
Thanks again,
Fred
