Getting started engraving??

KNIFE MAKER
Can anyone recommend a few tools that I will need? Think entry level but not junk. I’ve googled it many times and honestly it seems like there’s so many options and things that I don’t understand lol. I would like to try my hand at engraving steel and nickel silver as in bolsters and such. I have a Dremmel but it seems too violent. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Kevin - the maker's name is Alec Steele. He is a British blacksmith. He posts a youtube video about every day. He is extremely entertaining. I watch his stuff. Check him out on you-tube. He makes some cool stuff and shows you how he does it. Over and over and over. Pretty specific stuff and explanations are given. Very neat channel.
 
Yeah Alec is kinda my hero right now lol. We’re about the same age and I’m just blown away by the skill level that that dude has advanced to in such a relatively short period of time. I guess it’s about the miles more than the years lol.
