Gday everyone, I'm from Western Australia, I haven't been knifemaking long but have dream't of doing it for years. I'm still in the process of setting up gear and collecting bits and bobs to make knives. I'd like to say that i'm under the tutelage of Matt brook and Bruce barnett and try and learn as much as i can from them both (I like to think of it as an unofficial apprentiship hehehe )
I like forging as i take a lot of enjoyment heating steel and hammering it into what i desire, i have a gas forge made from a 9L gas bottle and my anvil is an 80kg chunk of steel (free from a scrapyard).
I hope to learn as much as i can from the forum and to hear some good advice from you fella's and maybe one day in the future come to america and go for my JS or MS, I write this because you never know!
All the best!
Danny
